Mac Mail 3 (Leopard) Setup

To show the exact settings for your email adddress, enter your email address below.

1. Open up Mail Prefrences

  • Once the program is active click on the Mail menu.
  • Mouseover Prefrences... and click once to open the Account Settings.

2. Open Accounts

  • Click the Accounts button

3. Account information

  • While holding the Option key click the Plus button at the bottom left-hand corder of the window
  • Select POP For Account Type.
  • Enter youraddress@yourdomain.com for your Description.
  • Enter youraddress@yourdomain.com for your E-Mail Address.
  • Enter Your Name under the Your Name field.
  • Enter yourdomain.com in the incoming mail server field.
  • Enter youraddress@yourdomain.com for your User Name.
  • In the Password field type the password for your email account.

4. Add outgoing mail server

  • Select Edit server list... for the Outgoing Mail Server.

5. Add outgoing mail server (Continued)

  • Enter yourdomain.com in the Description field.
  • Enter yourdomain.com in the Server Name field.

6. Finish

  • Click OK
  • Close the Accounts window
